Directory

Find employers in the European space sector

This directory tracks 145 public companies across the European space economy, including spacecraft manufacturers, launch providers, satellite operators, ground segment teams, data companies and engineering suppliers.

Use it to map where space work is happening, compare employers and find companies with open roles. The list includes a mix of agency-adjacent organisations, prime contractors, specialist suppliers and NewSpace startups, so it is useful whether you are looking for your next role or researching the market before hiring.

Company profiles are sourced from public company data and the job listings tracked on Find a Space Job. We keep the directory focused on organisations with a clear connection to space, aerospace or satellite technology, rather than a broad industrial database.

Landscape

About the European space employer landscape

Europe's space industry is distributed across several strong hubs rather than one dominant city. Munich, Toulouse, Noordwijk, Harwell, Madrid, Barcelona, Bordeaux, Rome, Bremen, Darmstadt, Luxembourg and the Kourou launch ecosystem all support different parts of the market, from mission operations and launch to satellite manufacturing, downstream data and scientific research.

The employer mix is broad. Large agencies and prime contractors tend to hire for systems engineering, AIT, mission assurance, avionics, software, operations and programme roles. Smaller startups and specialist suppliers often need people who can work closer to the product: embedded engineers, flight software developers, RF specialists, GNC engineers, data scientists and commercial profiles who understand technical customers.

For candidates, the directory is a way to discover companies before they appear in a search result. For hiring teams, it helps show how competitive the market is: strong candidates often compare a role against nearby employers, remote-friendly teams and companies working on similar missions.
