EUMETSAT is an intergovernmental organisation responsible for the operation of Europe’s meteorological satellite systems. It operates geostationary and polar-orbiting satellites that provide weather, climate, and environmental data to national meteorological services, governments, and researchers. EUMETSAT manages satellite operations, ground segment infrastructure, data processing, and long-term climate data records in support of weather forecasting and climate monitoring.
