Project Coordinator – Space Security Program
The Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI) is seeking a Project Coordinator to join its Space Security Program in Prague. Working under the Managing Director and Director of Operations, you will support the implementation and further development of the program, with a particular focus on research and analysis of the economic and financial dimensions of space security.
A central responsibility is the management, maintenance, and further development of PSSI’s Space Security Database, including research, data collection, verification, and analysis. You will also contribute to research and publications, guest lectures, conferences, and other programmatic initiatives.
Launched in 2010, PSSI’s Space Security Program is an internationally recognized platform for research, analysis, and policy engagement on space security, including the Prague Space Security Conference.
Key responsibilities
- OSINT research: discover, digest, and integrate data into PSSI’s Space Security Database, and craft analyses
- Database management: administer a PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS
- Writing and proofing: synthesize findings into reports and coordinate contributions from internal and external partners
- Promotional activities: work with the PR Coordinator on publications, events, and social copy
- Documentation and reporting: keep research records and internal standards up to date
- Support educational activities: help organize smaller educational events and workshops
- Program development: propose improvements and future-proofed solutions
Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken Czech/Slovak and English
- Strong time management and communication; comfortable in a small, collaborative international team
- Self-starter who can take ownership, anticipate needs, and solve problems independently
- Familiarity with NATO, EU, and Czech security policy
- Google and Microsoft suite plus SQL required; Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress/Wix, Python, and JavaScript are a plus

Offer
- Location: Prague, Czech Republic
- Full-time (40h/week), flexible hours and remote working days
- Compensation: 40,000–45,000 CZK depending on qualifications
- Suitable for recent BA/MA graduates and Ph.D. students
- Expected start: November 2026
