AOCS Mission Analysis Engineer
As AOCS Mission Analysis Engineer, you will:Conduct AOCS mission analysis (actuators sizing, single and Monte Carlo simulations, pointing budgets, etc.) for satellite projects during the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) phasesPerform AOCS related on-orbit commissioning activities for newly launched spacecraft and anomaly investigations during mission operationsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to the AOCS subsystem during spacecraft testing and operationsOptimize and tune the Attitude determination and Control System (AOCS) performance to meet mission requirements through simulation tools and analysis of telemetry dataMaintain and improve the AOCS simulator plant to ensure accurate simulation of satellite behaviorProvide technical support to systems engineers for new sales offers, including assessing the feasibility of proposed AOCS solutions, contribute to proposal writing, and participate in customer meetings to discuss technical details occasionallyWe expect you to have:Strong understanding of spacecraft dynamics and control systems, as well as knowledge of attitude determination and controlExperience using MATLAB and Simulink to model and simulate spacecraft dynamics and control systems. (2-3 years). However, candidates eager to learn are welcome to applyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform data analysis, optimization, and tuning of the AOCS system’s performanceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present complex technical information to stakeholdersExperience writing technical documentation to a high standard (at least for 1 year)Familiarity with mission operations and spacecraft commissioning proceduresFamiliarity with spacecraft hardware and components used in AOCS systemsYou DO NOT BELIEVE in the FLAT Earth – otherwise it may be difficult to explain the flight dynamics.SalarySalary starts from £42 000to £65 000 annuallyThe final offer will depend on the level of competencies and experienceApply
