Thermal Engineer - Europe
We are seeking a motivated Thermal Engineer that wants to define the future of thermal control and energy storage systems for rovers, habitats, landers, satellites, and beyond. The main responsibilities of this position will be designing, developing, and testing thermal control and robotics systems. As a Thermal Engineer you will play a key role and contribute to the creation of new technologies in support of Lunar Outpost’s thermal management and energy technologies. The selected candidate must be capable of working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
As a Thermal Engineer, your key technical responsibilities include:
Contribute to the development of various subsystems with your thermal expertise (incl. design, analysis and testing) during all development phases.
Collaborate with engineers of other disciplines to derive requirements that drive the thermal design.
Create thermal models and perform analysis to predict the thermal behavior of hardware in different operating conditions.
Develop test plans and procedures for thermal (vacuum) testing to verify compliance with requirements.
Conduct TVAC testing.
Derive test predictions and analyze test data. Derive recommendations for the further development of the hardware.
Support manufacturing, assembly and integration of thermal hardware.
