Profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Aeronautical/Space Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent university qualification.
- Experience in software and/or hardware systems engineering and IVVQ activities.
- Desire to continuously update your expertise and design innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
- Interest in developing skills in areas such as conception, requirements management, development, testing, integration, or validation.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in challenging environments.
- Recognized as a collaborative team player and effective communicator.
- Analytical, structured, curious, and open-minded, with a “helicopter view” of systems and processes.
- Ambitious, rigorous, and eager to mentor and share knowledge.
Competencies
- Ability to quickly understand complex systems, stakeholders, and interactions.
- Knowledge of design-to-cost approaches and systems engineering best practices.
- Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable with change.
- Familiar with tools such as DOORS, Polarion, TFS, and JIRA.
- Experience with network configuration and administration.
- Proven experience leading engineering projects or technical activities.
Life as a Thales System Engineer
As a System Engineer within Thales, you will:
- Analyse and understand customer needs through advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, and prototypes.
- Formalize specifications and architectures to propose optimal system solutions.
- Define and execute integration, verification, and validation (IVV) tests.
- Prepare system-level test plans and procedures.
- Ensure technical integration, system coherence, and performance optimization.
- Design command and control system architectures.
- Demonstrate system solutions to customers and stakeholders.
