Space Project Manager
Your role in a nutshell:
As a Project Manager, your task will be the overall lead of space projects from tender until space launch, in cooperation with customers, NASA/ESA agencies and sub-contractors. You’ll be a member of a growing Hungarian team, acting as a prime contractor of industry space projects in a full-time, permanent role.

Description
● Management of space industry projects throughout the entire project life cycle (preparation of tender documents, planning, implementation, monitoring, closure) according to ECSS space industry standards
● Supporting the System engineer with requirement’s analysis, preparing specifications, breaking down subsystem specifications and coordinating the necessary analyses
● Supporting the System engineer with verification planning, implementation, and control of projects according to the specifications of the relevant space agencies
● Setting up a project team, detailed planning of tasks (schedule, resources, costs) and monitoring
● Risk management according to ECSS space industry standards
● Configuration management according to ECSS space industry standards
● Preparing and coordinating safety review of space hardware according to the requirements of the contracting space agencies
● Preparing progress reports and reporting
● Coordination and management of subcontractors and procurement
● Project administrative management, financial monitoring and control, meeting deadlines
● Making professional decisions, preparing in case of escalated decisions
● Participation and coordination of the project team at milestone reviews and audits organized by the relevant space agencies
● Liaising with the different engineering roles within the company
● Liaising with partners, suppliers, subcontractors, clients, customer, and international organizations
Key qualifications
● Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering-physics, aerospace engineering, project manager or equivalent
● 5+ years of demonstrable project management experience in the field of R&D
● Business English language skills
● Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
● Openness in liaising with international organizations
● Ability to take independent decisions
● Collaborative working skills with colleagues of different areas
● Proactive attitude and good problem solving capabilities
● Eligibility to work in Hungary without restrictions
Considered as a Plus
● PMI/PMP certification
● Experience in aerospace industry and/or developing safety-critical systems
● Relevant experience in R&D
● Knowledge of ECSS standards
● Knowledge of CAD systems
● Experience in system-, quality- and/or safety management
