Satellite Operations Internship
About the Role
German Orbital Systems (GOS) is looking for a motivated intern or student worker to join our Flight Operations Team in Berlin. This role offers hands-on involvement in real satellite missions and day-to-day spacecraft operations.
Your Responsibilities
Participate in satellite operations planning, including creating and uploading on-board schedules.
Conduct commissioning, routine, and contingency operations.
Support orbit determination, telemetry analysis, and anomaly resolution.
Contribute to developing and validating operational procedures for satellite control and data management.
Develop tools and scripts to automate operational tasks.
Skills & Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
Strong team player who can collaborate in a diverse, international environment.
Ability to work independently and deliver well-tested, flight-ready results.
Experience with Python and Git.
Basic understanding of orbital mechanics and satellite subsystems.
Previous experience in satellite operations is a plus.
Fluent in written and spoken English; German is an advantage.
Willingness to work on-site in Berlin (remote work is not possible for this role).
