Remote Sensing and Earth Observation Specialist
PandionAI is scaling, and the demand for global, actionable information from space is accelerating. With several new projects launched, we are expanding our technical team with a hands-on Remote Sensing and EO Specialist who can strengthen our mission.
We are looking for someone who has practical experience with satellite data, delivered real EO products, and wants to be part of building operational, high-impact solutions - fast. Perhaps you come from consultancy, or perhaps you’re leaving academia for a place where ideas turn into delivered results within days, not months.
What you will work on
Define Earth Observation or Remote Sensing workflows end-to-end.
Produce customer-ready, reliable information from multi-sensor satellite imagery.
Contribute directly to project results and reporting.
Collaborate with our engineers, system developers and partners.
Shape PandionAI’s next generation of scalable EO pipelines and services.
What we wish your technical profile has:
Advanced Remote Sensing and Earth Observation
Hands-on experience with multispectral, SAR, thermal and/or VHR optical data.
Skilled in satellite data pre-processing, correction, analysis and visualization in GIS-tools, e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS or ESA-SNAP.
Solid understanding of satellites such as Sentinel, Planet, Maxar, Airbus, ICEYE.
Applied Machine Learning for EO
Practical experience with segmentation, detection, change detection, and pattern extraction.
Familiarity with modern Computer Vision architectures.
Comfortable with transfer learning, domain adaptation, and geospatial self-supervision.
Geospatial Data Engineering
Experience in defining scalable geospatial workflows.
Ability to combine satellite, drone and in-situ data into unified datasets.
Strong software engineering mindset: containerization, CI/CD, clean, maintainable code.
Who you are
You deliver quickly, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your work.
You can navigate ambiguity and turn real-world customer needs into functioning EO products.
You enjoy working in a small, fast-moving, high-trust environment.
You are comfortable interacting with customers and partners, explaining technical details.
You want your work to matter, solving practical problems across sectors with satellite-based intelligence.
What we offer
A highly skilled team working at the intersection of AI, remote sensing, cloud and in-orbit edge-computing.
A role with autonomy, responsibility and direct impact to real customers.
A flexible hybrid setup, with presence in our central Stockholm office.
Opportunities to work cutting-edge projects.
A chance to shape the future of actionable geospatial intelligence from space.
The position is open and available immediately. We review applications continuously.
