About the Role
This position focuses on investigating the generation of extreme solar eruptions in the solar corona and interplanetary space. The research employs data-driven modelling approaches, with opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence methods to simulate extreme space-weather events.
Responsibilities
Develop and apply data-driven models for solar eruption studies
Integrate AI or machine-learning methods into space plasma simulations
Analyze remote-sensing solar data (e.g., magnetograms)
Publish in leading international journals
Requirements
PhD in solar, heliospheric, or space plasma physics
Experience in space plasma modelling
Background working with remote-sensing solar observations
Demonstrated ability to perform independent, high-quality research
