Navigation Systems Engineer (d/f/m)
The Airbus Navigation Department in Manching is looking for a Navigation Systems Engineer (d/f/m). This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.
You will be part of a team developing Eurodrone, Tornado and future (R&T) military programmes. As part of the Navigation Systems Manching team, you will be involved in design and analysis activities aiming at managing the interface between systems to support the overall aircraft design.
Your challenges
Design and development of Navigation Systems for operational concepts
Definition of requirements documents and technical specifications
V&V activities: preparation of test procedures, perform and/or monitor tests, analysis of test results, test reports
Contribute to the execution of program milestones and reviews
Support the whole design process
Support to qualification and certification activities
Qualifications
Master's degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, or a comparable discipline
At least 3 years of professional experience in a related field
Desirable background: aircraft avionics or navigation systems, software test engineering, requirements-based engineering, equipment/system-level development
Proven experience in airborne navigation systems (e.g. GNSS, Galileo, GPS, MMR)
Good knowledge of aeronautical regulations (e.g. ARP4754, DO-178, DO-254, DO-160)
Analytical thinking, independent working style, and good communication skills
Ability to work in an international, multidisciplinary team and interface with stakeholders across domains, functions, and countries
Negotiation-level English
