Space assets and services are not fully monetized. At Revolv Space, we are solving the problem of low duty cycles by developing and manufacturing the next generation of critical subsystems enabling continuous spacecraft operations and therefore full monetization of space assets.

We start with tackling the power limitations of small satellites by providing best-in-class products for small satellites: Solar Array Drive Assemblies, solar arrays and deployment mechanisms.

To achieve this mission, we are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineering Intern who will dive into the captivating realm of satellite systems design and development. Your role will be to support R&D activities on validation of concepts for future products of Revolv Space.

Starting date: April-May 2026

Responsibilities:

  • conceptual research and system engineering;

  • design of prototypes and supporting equipment;

  • performance analysis, simulation activities, and quick prototyping;

  • contact with external partners;

  • coordination with R&D engineers;

  • Occasional support on AIT tasks (assembly, integration and testing).

Requirements:

  • aerospace, mechanical, materials, or similar engineering background;

  • good knowledge of CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor);

  • previous experience with mechanism design;

  • fundamental understanding of electrical systems and material science;

  • ability to conduct simple FEA simulations;

  • basic prototyping and workshop skills (assembly of mechanical components, 3D-printing, cutting and drilling of metal, etc.);

  • independent problem-solving skills;

  • fluent English (speaking and writing);

  • ability to cooperate with other team members.

About the hiring process:

  1. Screening through a take-home exercise related to the topic of the internship (estimated completion time about 60 minutes)

  2. 15-minute screening interview with Gaia (HR Manager)

  3. 45-minute video interview with your future internship supervisor to discuss, among other things, your take-home exercise

  4. Welcome onboard!
