Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) designs and builds small satellites in Guildford. Spun out of the University of Surrey in 1985 by Martin Sweeting after UoSat-1, it has flown missions for Earth observation, science, and Galileo. Airbus has owned the company since 2009.
